Wine Country Quilts has been organising biennial exhibitions of quilts made by quilters who live on the East Coast of the North Island since 2008. We aim to:
• Promote and showcase patchwork, quilting and quilt makers on New Zealand’s East Coast from East Cape to the Wairarapa.
• Highlight the traditional and contemporary aspects of patchwork and quilting.
• Encourage young people to participate in working with fabric as an artistic medium.
• Promote Hawke’s Bay.
If you haven’t been before, do plan a visit to Hawke’s Bay and come to enjoy our lovely region and especially our beautiful quilts. And of course, we look forward to display your quilts in the exhibition too!
Toitoi Hawkes Bay Arts and Events Centre in Hastings is a superb exhibition space.
