Trinity Hill Winery
2396 State Highway 50 (Roy's Hill Road) RD 5
Trinity Hill is an iconic New Zealand winery, celebrating over 25 years of world-class winemaking in the famed Gimblett Gravels District of Hawke’s Bay. Trinity Hill’s founders recognised the outstanding potential of the Hawkes Bay’s Gimblett Gravels winegrowing district and in 1993, the winery became one of the region’s early pioneers. Cuttings of Syrah from Hermitage, and Viognier from Cote Rotie were gifted to our first winemakers and planted on a barren plot which continues to produce exceptional wines today.
A winemaking philosophy of “Quality rather than Quantity” is important, and controlled yields ensure the intensity of flavour and elegant styles for which Trinity Hill is renowned. It is said great wine is made in the vineyard, and our aim at Trinity Hill is to produce distinctive, elegant wines that reflect the character of each vineyard site. We have 3 vineyards in this unique grape growing sub-region of Hawke’s Bay, and our icon wine, Homage, is recognised worldwide as one of the benchmark Syrahs produced.
Our iconic Cellar Door, designed by New Zealand architect Richard Priest ready for Trinity Hill’s first harvest in 1997, is open for tastings, platters and wine by the glass and bottle 7 days a week, 11AM-5PM. Enjoy a spot on our expansive lawn or inside with views of our white barrel room.
