Flaxmere Park

Flaxmere Park is situated in the heart of the Flaxmere community, opposite the local shopping centre and library facilities.

Characterised by the large number of beautiful mature trees throughout, the park is predominantly flat and home to sports fields that are used throughout the year, with a central pond area in the middle of the park.

Flaxmere Park has a modern, gated playground that includes several new pieces of play equipment, a Splash Pad and a free to use community BBQ. Play pieces include a jungle net, a double wave slide, swings, a gyroscope, a fire truck and a large combination unit with 6 platforms.

The park has some gym-styled adult exercise equipment near the playground, giving residents and visitors the opportunity to keep fit while having fun. Paved cycle and walking tracks also weave throughout the park.

Disc golf course is another new element at Flaxmere Park, joining an up-to-the-minute playground, splash pad, ki-o-rahi field, and walks under beautiful mature trees ranged over its 16.8 hectares. Its contoured grounds and trees act as obstacles, making for the perfect disc golf course.

With the addition of modern toilets and a number of picnic tables and benches, Flaxmere Park has everything you could want in a visit to the park.
