Clive River

Clive, Hastings District, Hawkes Bay

The Clive River runs down through the Heretaunga plains and merges at the coast with the Ngaruroro and Tutaekurī rivers.

The Clive River is a popular spot for water sports, and on most weekend days around the stretch of the river by the Clive Bridge, you're bound to see people out rowing, jetskiing or perhaps even a spot of wakeboarding. 

Hugging the Clive River is a popular limestone walkway that is well utilised by walkers and cyclists. If you're feeling up for some exercise, head along the walkway towards the coast and then follow the track south towards the Tukituki River mouth.
