Central Hawke's Bay's Tukituki Trail and Wairoa's Riverside Walk and Cycleway also offer excellent leisure cycling opportunities across picturesque landscapes.
For the more adventurous, our mountain bike parks are very highly-regarded and take in some spectacular scenery. Little legs are also catered for, with a selection of cycle skills tracks to impress even the most discerning mini-riders.
Some 'wheelie' good cycling options
Take a gentle half-hour spin along the coast, or a four-day exploration of our back-country roads, or something in between. The climate is ideal for year-round exploring, and almost any type of bike can be hired. There is also a café or cellar door at nearly every destination, should your ride leave you a little parched!
