Bay Espresso Karamu Road is the original. Still serving our original "Cafe Blend" coffee roasted by us in Hastings, and our legendary All Day Breakfasts, this is a stalwart in the Hawke's Bay cafe scene. We're open 7 days a week for your coffee drinking pleasure with a changing specials board and a cabinet full of quick takeaway options and sweet treats. Our cafe staff are casual but attentive, fast on the coffee machine, and happy to cater to your special requirements. This is a true kiwi style cafe with an emphasis on great, consistent coffee and local, fresh ingredients. Out the back we also have a sunny, private courtyard for those hot Hawke's Bay days.

Chris & Jonelle Jarvis have owned Bay Espresso cafe for 14 years. We also own the coffee roasting business & supply many other cafes with our magic blend. Once operated as a group the Bay Espresso cafes are now all individually owned, but we still make the coffee every Sunday at the Hawke's Bay Farmers' Market.
