Experience a truly glorious day exploring Gwavas Homestead and Garden. Morning tea on arrival sets the scene for this stunning day, after which guests will don their sturdy walking shoes for a walk-through Gwavas' private 132-hectare Puahanui Bush. This a virgin bush is of national significance with Totara known to be more than 600-years-old.
Guests will then be treated to a sit-down lunch before a tour of the majestic, historic homestead and spectacular nine hectare 'Cornish Woodland Garden'. An experience for all the senses, the Gwavas Garden is filled with beautiful birdlife and the fragrances of the flowers in bloom.
To ensure the day runs smoothly, guests are asked to arrive on time and bring appropriate weatherproof boots and wet weather clothing.
